kids getting bullied to the point of suicide... the system at school needs to change. punishment for bullies need to be put in place. This walk away strategy not working. getting bullied on bus before school, at school on way home from school.

We can't afford to send our kids with food. We can't afford to drive our kids to school. We can't afford uniforms. We can't afford books and stationery for our children. So now you're going to fine us $11,000 that we CANT AFFORD, because we CANT AFFORD to give our children the education the government wants them to have, my children have had to take a couple days off per fortnite in the past because we couldn't afford the fuel to get them to school... we can't even afford to homeschool our children. I'd like to know why the hell the government needs to have a say over what we do with our children? They're MY kids. Y'all don't get to have a say...

If my kid isn't at school because of mental health or illness... she's at home. More & more I'm wanting to homeschool. She'd cope better I feel. She's a straight A student despite her absences. We're in housing Crisis 4 years! PTSD. Wake up

My son got a red card in year 5 punished for rescuing a younger child being bashed up in the playground by 5 other children. The teacher stood there and did nothing so my son went in swinging to save this young boy and got his red card for fighting WTAF!! I argued the punishment for him told the teacher I was proud of him for saving the little boy. It was the teachers responsibility to supervise children in the playground and end this bashing by year 6 children .. Now this was back it’s the mid 1990’s ffs .. this has continued to this day .. I homeschool because bullying was not addressed for my grandchildren in my care .. the education department is now bullying parents by fining them OMG!! it’s not the parents or the child’s fault it’s the teachers and Education Departments lack of accountability ..

I pulled my autistic son out for constantly getting bullied and the school not doing a damn thing about it. He is now only 10 years old. Just telling me he must go to school. The school have a duty of care but they actually do not care about our kids. You need to put the school in it’s place as you are the parent, not them. I homeschool now and all schools should be shut down it’s all about money and the government just get more and more greedy till we have nothing left. Also in Victoria if your child is getting bullied and that child is 10 years or older they can be charged with assault. I encourage you to do this. Absolutely disgusting the world we live in today

I think this should be mandatory for ‘parents’ who don’t actually parent!! Some so called parents are so incapable of actually parenting is an absolute disgrace…seems the easier option for some ppl to let their kids do whatever they want, roam the streets, sit at home and game, hang out with mates and not attend school because they just don’t want to…the system is a bloody disgrace and some of these parents who just don’t give a shit need to be held accountable!! At the end of the day it is the child who suffers!! They end up uneducated and a strain on our already messed up system 😡😡

Yeah what a great idea. Let’s take more money of already struggling families. There are so many parents that get their kids up and send them off to school in good faith that’s where they are going. How are they supposed to police them attending if they choose to do otherwise. Risk loosing jobs to go find kids that are disobedient and disrespectful. Come on Australia get real. Life is hard enough now for struggling parents let’s not drive them over the edge
