Stolas talked up so much game just to make this the worst apology on record, but I'm actually SO proud of Blitzø for this scene. Stolas gave him the "choice" to either stay or go, but first of all he didn't even pay attention to Blitzø's real reaction; he stayed. Asmodean crystal in hand, totally free to go, and he was willing and excited to continue the evening as he thought it was going. But furthermore Stolas didn't really even give him CHOICE, he gave him TWO black or white choices, and it just so happens that both choices would mean VERY convenient endings for Stolas; if Blitzø stays then he gets to be the happy boyfriend, but if Blitzø leaves he still gets to play the heartbroken, unrequited lover who did everything he could, and in both cases he can push blame for the outcome onto Blitzø's totally free "choice", not his own. Then Blitzø came in and SHATTERED the false dichotomy; he didn't choose between Stolas' two options, he misunderstood first and chose to try and continue the arrangement as planned, it's not a rejection at all, but it's not the instant happy ending Stolas wanted. Even though Blitzø obviously didn't understand, Stolas chooses to take his reaction as a definitive "No", then totally shuts down and tries to leave, falling immediately into the "Woe is me" routine he'd planned out. But Blitzø stopped him again; he didn't want to stay or go, he wanted to TALK. He was ready to have a knockdown drag-out fight if that's what it took, but he knew that there needed to be WAY more thought and discussion put into this. "After everything you put me through" it's not as simple as stay or go, and when Blitzø expresses very valid feelings after being abused, Stolas again chooses the answer "No" FOR him. Then he is bitter and angry at Blitzø for his choice- as if that evening wasn't supposed to be STOLAS apologizing to BLITZØ, and Blitzø had chosen wrong between the two things he was supposedly free to do. If Stolas ACTUALLY saw their relationship for the abuse that it is, he would have sat there and listened to every mean word Blitzø had to say to him without the pity party, and taken his choice without punishing him for it

NGL I think Blitz's reaction in the first clip was justified. Stolas set up a system that was purely transactional and then instead of continuing the conversation and making sure that Blitz actually KNOWS he's being serious, he ran away.

Literally everyone talking about how stolas is still at fault and such. He knew that! He noticed and he did what he could to make up for his action but giving Blitzo his freedom. He can’t undo every injustice but he at least can acknowledge the right steps
