@cbsnews: The captain of a flydubai flight has recounted the terrifying moment he was attacked by a co-pilot who allegedly intended to crash the aircraft. Captain Smit Machchhar has been praised as a hero for helping avert a potential disaster aboard a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv last month, when his co-pilot allegedly attempted to crash the plane into Ben Gurion Airport in what UAE authorities described as an attempted suicide attack. Speaking to The National newspaper from his hospital bed in Abu Dhabi, Machchhar, whose head and left arm were bandaged, recalled the ordeal.
