@voiceofsouthsudan0: JUBA COUNTY COMMISSIONER WARNS MIRAA CHEWERS AND SELLERS OF POSSIBLE CRACKDOWN Juba County Caretaker Commissioner Kalisto Ladu has warned people involved in selling and chewing miraa, also known as Maregwana, saying authorities will closely monitor the practice. In his remarks, Ladu questioned the green discoloration visible in the mouths of some miraa chewers and said authorities would investigate the matter. “Those people who sell Maregwana (miraa) are now suspects. You see someone's mouth is green. What makes a human being's mouth that green? We are going to look into that. Anyone we find with a green mouth will need to explain what kind of grass they are eating,” Ladu said. His remarks signal a possible move by the county authorities to increase scrutiny of miraa sales and consumption in Juba County. —South Sudan Headlines
