@sacredchad: Father Patricio Alfredo Sanchez Molinari, a Redemptorist priest and parish priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Guayaquil, Ecuador, was killed when a large crucifix fell on him during a livestreamed Mass. Moments before, he had been preaching about death and the fleeting nature of life, urging his congregation to spend their time with God and loved ones instead of wasting it. Parishioners rushed to help him and called for an ambulance, but he was pronounced dead the same day. The Archdiocese of Guayaquil confirmed his passing and said he "has departed for the Father's House to rejoice in His presence and glory."
