My daughter face dat too, her schoolmate call her "Bush" because she got the curly arab hair from my late mum but she turn dat negativity from others to positive which she reply to them you guys are just jealous dat you guys dont have this nice curl like mine.

I was bullied SO BAD for my curly hair. I hated it, I kept rebonding it and lost so much hair over the years. After 20 years, I’ve really started appreciating my curly hair. But even as an adult in my 30s, there are still people who make jokes about my hair.

Had curly hair, whenever i put it in a ponytail ppl will say its so fat, is like paint brush, its so messy so bushy . When i tried to embrace my curly hair few years ltr again ppl will comment like “why your hair liddat?” Or “why your hair so poofy/messy”

I straighten my hair because I’m called country bumpkin from India in a nastier term …. For the past few years I’ve flaunted my hair and helped my other girls to do the same. Now the people whom i mest keep telling me I’m so lunch to have born with such beautiful curls.
