@nothernfalcon: Ingredients • 1.2kg tomahawk steak (about 5cm / 2 inches thick) • Olive oil or beef tallow • Coarse sea salt and freshly ground black pepper • Unsalted butter (about 2-3 tablespoons) • Garlic cloves (smashed) and fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs Instructions (Reverse-Sear Method) 1. De-chill: Take the steak out of the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for about 1 hour. 2. Season: Pat the meat dry with paper towels, drizzle with oil or tallow, and generously rub with salt and pepper. 3. Slow Roast: Place the steak on a wire rack inside a baking tray. Roast in the oven at 140°C / 285°F (or 120°C fan) for about 40 to 45 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 50°C (122°F) for medium-rare. 4. First Rest: Remove the steak from the oven and let it rest on the counter for 10 minutes. 5. Sear: Heat a heavy cast-iron skillet or a screaming-hot barbecue. Sear the steak and the edges for 3 to 4 minutes per side with butter, smashed garlic, and herbs until a deep, dark brown crust forms. 6. Final Rest: Rest the steak for 3 to 10 minutes before slicing against the grain #tomahawksteak #trend #shitty #fypviralシ #xyzcba
