That's a head scratcher😳. The decision about whether the surgery is urgent, and whether or not the facility can handle it, is ultimately up to the surgeon. We haven't heard that side of the story. However, removing liver, instead of spleen is odd?? I assume this patient may have had situs inversus and it wasn't recognized by either the surgeon or radiologist.

I didn't realize that that surgery to remove the spleen was so complicated I had to have my spleen removed back in February and I coded in my lung collapse while they were tempted to do that but they also had to take part of my stomach and my pancreas out because they had fuse together and I was put on a ventilator and I got to go home 2 months later but it could have been worse they could have removed the wrong s*** finding out how incompetent some of the doctors and surgeons are

I had both of my babies at this hospital! My doc with my first was amazing!!! Shout out to Julianne Kenton MD!!! But, with my second I had the “voted best OBGYN in the gulf coast” doc, my BP WAS 220/190, they gave me nothing to bring my pressure down, spinal didn’t fully work and I felt a lot of the actual C-section, and she left after my C-section. When I started to hemorrhage they called her to come back and she said call the on call doc, I’m off. Wtaf?! It was my sweet nurse Monicah Edison, the other nurses, and Dr. Hood who saved me. It’s hit and miss over there!
