Yep, I'm in the manufacturing industry - specifically high end bathrooms and plumbing. The salary is tasty, the hours are very favourable and I get the most amount of freedom. Not to forget the company fuel, credit cards and multiple business trips to Italy. I'm out with the architects, contract and marketing managers most of the time. Best career I've ever had... PLUS I don't get the Sunday scaries!! 🥰🥰

I can vouch it is very true what she’s saying. HOWEVER, the construction industry is on a stand still right now as a lot of big developers are not purchasing land at the moment so a lot of people are bringing made redundant

I just started a graduate scheme in energy / utilities as a project manager, and I already want to change industry. Construction is not what you think it is.

I work in Construction and it’s a really good industry. However, right now it’s not great. The amount of developments being put on hold and the amount of redundancy and companies going into administration.

The SINGING Sand Dunes of the Mojave Desert 🏜️ Pt. 2 There is a wild acoustic phenomena called "Singing Sand Dunes" that only occurs in 30+ places worldwide. Only four in the United States, two of them in California, and today, we are at one of those two -- The Kelso Dunes, deep in the Mojave Desert in Southern California. When the conditions are just right, you can make the dunes sing a siren song! This occurs when human intervention pushes a thick slab of sand downward, called a "Shear flow" -- As the top layer of sand slides over the stationary sand beneath it, millions of grains collide and rub against one another. The sand grains on a singing dune act like microscopic cello bows against the stationary grains below. They repeatedly collide, jam against each other, push apart, and drop back down. This collective rubbing creates a rapid, vibrating pulse of kinetic energy. They collide roughly 100 to 120 times per second, which produces the sought after "Booming" or "Singing" sound that the dunes produce. This can only be triggered in temperatures above 90° (Preferably above 100°), only with 25% less humidity (No recent rain or moisture), only on northern facing slips that have a 30° or higher angle & only with the near-spherical shaped grains of sand FOUND at these dunes, and the 30-something OTHER known locations where it occurs. The shape of the sand grains is the key to the siren song. But it also has to be incredibly hot & dry, and the hike from the trailhead is 1.5 miles is entirely uphill, in loose sand. So, every step forward equals a half step backward, and A LOT of water is required to safely make this trip on foot (No OHV allowed; Part of National Park system). So, even just getting here is a journey only for the most intrepid of explorers, because of how hot & dry it has to be to trigger the event. But, if you can make it there (September is the best month to go), it is WILD to experience firsthand, as it is not only something you HEAR, but something you also physically FEEL. Make sure to watch parts 1, 2, 3 & 5 as well! #singing #sanddunes #sound #phenomenon #mojavedesert
