PRSI is not going to cover anything in 30 years, to many young people not paying into it and many young people leaving the country, which means little to no state pension for old people in 30 years, the My future fund is a band aid and will not be enough unless you start it now in your early 20s and keep funding it. Those in their 30s+ have missed out on years and won't get as big a pot as someone in the their early 20s. However it is government ran so who knows how badly mismanaged it will be... Ye may end up with nothing anyway.
