I knew but I really knew when my work had a shooting and they couldn’t be bothered to walk the 10 mins between our apartments to come hug me and said I wanted too much when I expressed shock they couldn’t be bothered when they were even closer to my apartment for a workout class the next day and still didn’t stop by. I watched her change out of her pjs to normal clothes and rush over to the next door neighbors because she called and said she needed emotional support. I told her I was nervous about an emergency meeting at work related to an upset client and needed to help get my mind off the meeting so I could sleep that night. She went to bed before I finished my dinner.

23 years… TWENTY THREE YEARS… I dealt with this I always thought I was just asking for too much, being to needy etc… up and down he said he wanted a divorce a couple days later was dating one of my friends. I realized a lot of things really fast. I’ve lowered my expectations to be low, i’m not asking for too much, when after our divorce was done, I have multiple friends and neighbors offered to come over and help with basic things if I need it. Without asking. Teeny, destiny, basic comfort. But it also turns out I don’t need it, and I can survive on my own way and his lying about I would never make it on my own or living alone. I’ve been on my own living alone for 10 months. He moved out of our family home directly into his girlfriends house. He spent not one second alone. Not one, but I was the dramatic non-self-sufficient one? Bitch, please I own a house you don’t lol
