Members of the National Guard were inside their van around 11:10 p.m. when they noticed a fight breaking out and exited the vehicle to help, authorities said. The suspect allegedly pulled out a gun and was ordered to drop it before pointing it toward the Guardsmen, who then opened fire. One National Guard member was shot in the leg, while the suspect was shot in the abdomen. Both were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
