I just went threw this. Husband even told her we had an open marriage apparently . I told him to tell her hes not interested and to block her. 9 years and he broke his phone infront of me because he didnt want to do that....my childs money replaced his phone from his stupid actions

... i felt this. its really sad that partners will entertain others then act like theyre innocent. cheating starts mentally... giving another woman attention that should be for your SO... a small flirt... to me, if youre gonna make me share your attention you might as well give them all of it.

If another person texts you that late into the night, you stop that crap right away… you text them back saying this is inappropriate. Then, personally, the right next step is to let your spouse/partner know. This way there isn’t a s/he said conversation. It’s not that the other person is jealous. It is a boundary issue. I could understand somebody could just ignore it and move on, but that’s not always the best option.

When you’re in a committed relationship, doesn’t mean you lose your autonomy. However, it does require lots of consideration. We obviously can talk to whomever we want. But intent matters. If your partner is uncomfortable with the person you’re talking to, then questions need to be asked, and their feelings should be acknowledged. By saying that you can talk to whomever you want says a lot about your lack of empathy, compassion, consideration, and respect for anyone else but yourself. If that is what you want, then don’t be in a relationship.
