Ingredients (8 pavlovas): Pavlova’s are basically egg whites beaten into a meringue ring and baked at low heat as a cup for your cream and berries. They only have about 100 calories. Look to pretty to eat. 😋🫐 Pavlova ingredients- • 4 large egg whites (room temperature) • 1 cup (200g) caster sugar-super fine sugar • 1 tsp cornstarch • 1 tsp white vinegar or lemon juice • 1 tsp vanilla extract • Pinch of salt Filling and topping- • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (cold) • 2 tbsp powdered sugar • ½ tsp vanilla extract • 1 cup blackberries -strawberries or blueberries • Fresh mint leaves-optional Preparation- Preheat oven to 225°F (107°C). Line tray with parchment paper. Draw 8 small circles (about 3 inches) as guides. *Look at picture in comments Make the Meringue- *Important-Start by cleaning all bowls, utensils and equipment and wiping with vinegar to remove any traces of grease. Or your egg whites won’t work. Next, separate the whites from the yolks, ensuring no yolk contaminates the whites. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until soft peaks. Add sugar 1 tbsp at a time, beating continuously. Whip until stiff, glossy peaks (smooth, not grainy) are formed; the meringue should be smooth, and hold its shape when the bowl is turned upside down. Gently fold in cornstarch, vinegar, and vanilla. Add a drop of food coloring in mixture. Not to much-don’t over fold the color. Let the colors have a stain glass look as in the picture. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag with a large star tip. Pipe 8 nests (swirl base and raised edges). It needs to look like a bird nest. Bake for 75 to 90 minutes. Do not open the door while baking. Turn oven off, and let the pavlovas cool inside with the door closed for 20-30 min. Then slightly open the oven door until they fully cool to room temperature.( they don’t like humidity) Beat cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Whip to soft-medium peaks until smooth and pipeable. Wash berries-Then lightly pat dry to remove excess moisture. You don’t want soggy meringue. **Do not add the fruit until you are readyas to serve. Will get soggy. Add a spoon of berries into each pavlova, followed by a swirl of whipped cream on top. Add fresh mixed berries and mint leaves, and finish Enjoy! 😋🫐#pavlovas#healthyrecipe#creatorsearchinsights
