@dailymail: Elon Musk has said he plans to give one of his SpaceX shares, currently worth around $146, to every child in America next year, calling it 'the first of many' such giveaways. The pledge could be worth around $10.5 billion in total, based on the estimated number of children in the US and SpaceX's recent share price. The announcement follows AI company Anthropic's plan to commit 5% of its shares to a new public benefit fund, supporting nonprofit initiatives and helping address the impact of artificial intelligence on jobs. Musk has criticized that approach, suggesting shares should go directly to the public instead. However, he has yet to explain how his own giveaway would work or who would qualify. #elonmusk #usa #technology #AI
