Brands and companies can download your videos off TikTok and run them as ads too without you even knowing, at least Trybe has a system to check if that is happening with content you submit through the platform and bill the brand for it. He addressed it, they are aware of the situation and have/are doing what they can about it. This is something we ALL deal with on every platform, and the more you publicly go after Trybe about this, it’s not a good look for you.

Yeah other ugc apps have it where they can review it but not own it until approval. They could make it so it uploads as a low resolution watermarked sample for review, and if they want to modify it etc, they can do that after approving it.

Here’s another work around a brand took still images from my video and made a static ad and posted it to there own page essentially completely cutting me out and cutting trybe out

I hope when this happens, Trybe will stand behind creators and not allow these brands in Trybe once they are causing this. Creators need protection

The app isn’t even a year old and growing fast, there’s going to be things that need to me improved. Why don’t you stop using it until you’re more comfortable with the tech behind it? I doubt any brand is going to negotiate your watermarked videos when they have many other creators sending them content where they don’t need to go through that hassle.

Lucas said they also bill the brand and you still get paid. When you upload a video anywhere u run the risk of brands and other creators using your video - you can take legal action against this though
