@dailymail: Italian artist Salvatore Garau made headlines after selling an artwork that cannot be seen for $18,300. The piece, titled 'Io sono', meaning 'I am', sold at auction in 2021 for €15,000. The buyer received a certificate of authenticity and instructions to display it in an empty space measuring roughly five feet by five feet. Garau describes the sculpture as 'immaterial', arguing that it exists through energy and imagination rather than physical form. The unusual sale sparked debate about what qualifies as art, with critics questioning how an invisible creation could command such a high price. #news #italy #art #money #viral
