@khaleejtimesofficial: French President Emmanuel Macron began a four-nation Gulf tour on Monday, starting in Kuwait, as Paris seeks to secure additional oil and diesel supplies to help ease rising fuel costs. The visit follows a weekend of violent unrest in France, with more than 2,500 arrests reported amid protests over the cost of living. Macron is also scheduled to visit the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar by Wednesday, with talks focusing on energy security, defence cooperation and alternative oil export routes. The trip comes as the US-Iran war disrupts global energy supplies, with restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz driving up prices. France hopes to strengthen Gulf partnerships and secure fuel shipments, although experts warn that lasting relief may depend on greater regional stability. #Khaleejtimes #EmmanuelMacron #France #UAE #SaudiArabia #Kuwait
