it was God Himself why? Because the figure accepted worship, commands holy ground to be respected or explicitly claims the Name and identity of Yahweh (like at the burning bush in exodus 3. The Bible treats the presence as God Himself. If the figure deflects glory back to God, maintains a clear servant status, and refuses adoration it's a created angelic messenger... The Angel of the Lord in that context is Jesus. He’s God, because throughout the Old Testament, there’s a distinction between an Angel, and The Angel of the Lord. The Angel of the Lord is often addressed as Yahweh. And Yahweh is God. If u need multiple scriptures for that, let me know. That’s why Jesus said Abraham was happy to see my day. Abraham met with Him. Remember the Angel of the Lord that met with Abraham concerning Sodom, with 2 other angels.
