I came from a print reporting background and had never hosted a TV show before. Five years in, one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that we’re all waiting for the moment when it clicks, when we feel we’ve arrived and achieved excellence. But the real magic is in the daily deposits: the work you put into your craft, the care you bring to the people around you, and the ways you make someone feel heard and valued. And I think that’s true far beyond TV. That adds up and ultimately shapes who we are.
