I'd say the milk was too cold. you need to use room temperature liquid, and then leave the yeast in it for a little while til it starts to bubble or froth showing it's rehydrate then add

I'd recommend that the milk needs to be at around blood temperature for the sugar to activate the yeast and then it should bloom in the jug (go frothy and bubbly) I think its also better to melt the butter and add it to the flour with the yeasty mixture..hope that helps x

More yeast and make sure the milk isn’t too hot. As will kill the yeast. You got this ❤️

Next time make sure you let the yeast bloom. Dough no matter what you are making will not rise properly without letting the yeast properly bloom. Love your videos! Thank you for posting! Georgia mom of 4💕
