@ghanagoldbod: GoldBod has received commendation from President John Dramani Mahama for its contribution to increased artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) gold exports and foreign exchange inflows. Speaking at the Mining in Motion event in Accra, the President disclosed that ASM gold exports increased from 64 tonnes in 2024 to 104 tonnes between April and December 2025, with foreign exchange inflows reaching US$10.8 billion in 2025, compared to US$4.67 billion in 2024. President Mahama also commended GoldBod for its ongoing land reclamation efforts at the Tano Nimiri Forest Reserve, highlighting the importance of balancing the economic benefits of mining with environmental protection.
