Wonderful story, but she designed the dress for Jackie Bouvier who then became Jackie Kennedy upon marrying JFK. The dress was stunning and it will forever serve as the standard for subtle, effortless class couture. Bouvier later married Aristotle Onassis, (once the world’s richest man) some time after JFK’s assassination, and did so in a dress that no one remembers.
