@n4w30biy: Ever wonder how astronauts manage oxygen on their moon missions? Dive into the complexities of oxygen supply for space travel and how it differs from scuba diving. Let's explore the science behind it! #oxygen #SpaceExploration #moonnmission #scuba #Science #astronauts
it's really easy when they're in a studio filming it

SCUBA divers do not have pure Oxygen in their tanks. Past 90 feet down, pure oxygen becomes toxic. They have regular air, or Tri-mixed gas.

You do realize you can fit MUCH more oxygen in its cold liquid form

Have you heard about NASA? Look them up. It’s pretty crazy what they can do. Also the ISS has been continuously operating for a while now and same thing.

A BG4 rebreather you can use up to 13 hours. I’m pretty sure that’s what they were using. That’s what the navy seals use now.

good thing they're using rebreathers not compressed oxygen otherwise this would actually be a problem

You can typically breathe on a closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) for 3 to 6 hours on a single setup, though some extended-range or specialized units can last even longer.
Unlike regular scuba gear where air runs out quickly at depth, a rebreather recycles your exhaled gas, scrubs out carbon dioxide, and adds only the oxygen you use...🥰

120’ deep. About 5 to 10 minutes. Then slow ascend to surface. Then next bottle. But think two bottles in space which is a vacuum the air in the tank is compressed by that vacuum. Lot less air in tank.

Well if they have a scrubbing system it could last for 6 to 8 hours

It's only air, not oxygen. Maybe an hour if the diver is only 5 feet deep.
