@alexweldertravels: Did you know the capital of this country looks like this? Before arriving here, I wasn’t sure how I would like this planned city. I expected to find a very bureaucratic city, with nothing but embassies or business offices. The city is divided in several grids where each of them has a central market with local restaurants, supermarkets, banks and anything else you need. There is a vibrant and upcoming coffee scene in the city, where several new speciality coffeeshops have literally opened up within the last 3-6 months. Unlike several other big cities in Asia that have 1-2 nice and posh pockets while the rest of the city are very disregarded, Islamabad does a great job to keep the entire city green, organized and livable.
