Yes, he’s right! Our greatest enemy is the flesh which refers to the old Adam’s nature in us which loves sinning in us. The good fight of faith refers to placing our faith in the Blood of Christ which the Holy Spirit demands from us in order to help us subdue the sin nature in us which loves sinning. The sin nature is the cause of our failures that’s why the apostles spent 90% of their time dealing with the flesh most especially Paul. Romans 6,7, and 8. Satan strategy is to oppress us so that our faith would leave the Cross of Christ to others things, when that is done, then the sin nature or the adamic nature in us would produce the acts of sin such as envy, lust, hatred, jesting, fornicating, drunkenness, evil thoughts, heresy, pornography, etc. but once our faith returns to the Cross of Christ then the Holy Spirit will subdue our old nature in us then the Fruit of the Spirit will come naturally. Romans 8:2
