while they are in the closet I usually tell them to escape and then pull them out and then they just run to the escape

Don't do this when you are doing civilian challenges that require to let a special target escape, because talking from far away doesn't count.

You won’t get the escape points. Put up the communication wheel and make them follow you then interact with them and make them escape so that you get the escape points
