This is why I love neurodivergent brains. They’re allegiance to the truth is just so strong and it is so innocent. The logic you followed, was sound people unfortunately do not like having mirror back to them their shortcomings you posed a very logical question and he was angry for being called out on his prejudice. Anger is an extension of fear, and our brains don’t like change you were asking him very directly in a very pointed logical fashion to change his perception, his mind his understanding of the world.

I had a racist grandfather who was so good to just about every other race, over my life I was able to watch him dismantle that belief. Even if he grew up in the US south in the 20s he grew and thought about his beliefs, and realized he had been wrong. Also noticed you mentioned meerkats again... did you happen to think about living with them? We were fascinated with them until we met their cousins the prairie dog, who moved into the foundation when they were building my mom's place in North Dakota. 😂

This reminds me of a conversation I had with a woman who was speaking negatively about trans people. She said that they are changing God’s work and that is unacceptable to her. I asked her if she dyed her hair and she said she does. So I asked her what the difference was because she was changing God‘s work by dying her hair.
