@nerdsip_merica: On January 2, 2007, around 12:45 p.m., Cameron Hollopeter, a 19-year-old film student, had a seizure on the platform of the 137th Street-City College station in Manhattan and fell onto the tracks. A train was approaching. Wesley Autrey, a 50-year-old construction worker and Navy veteran, was waiting there with his two young daughters. He jumped down and held Hollopeter flat in the trough between the rails while train cars passed over them with only inches of clearance. Both men walked away. Mayor Michael Bloomberg gave Autrey the Bronze Medallion, the city's highest civic award, and he was a guest at the 2007 State of the Union. The image is a reconstruction of the station area, not a photo of the event. What should riders do first if someone falls onto subway tracks?
