Agreed. I don’t understand when people get mad at nepo babies. That’s how it should be. If you can’t provide your child with guaranteed success, opportunities and financial stability, then you shouldn’t be having one.

I’m an antinatalist myself, but I have mixed feelings about how heavily adoption gets encouraged as a solution. Adoption itself is obviously a great thing, and I absolutely think children who already exist deserve loving and stable homes. But I sometimes feel like the emphasis on adoption can unintentionally shift the focus away from questioning the circumstances that led to the child needing adoption in the first place. Idk tho maybe I am overthinking it.

I’ll always resent my parents for forcing this life on me and the reasons they give always sound ridiculous.Social pressure,wanting to improve their relationship,wanting a “better” version of me,or a “baby” version of me or even worse,wanting to continue their bloodline.The worst part is when your own parents didn’t love you and don’t love each other and see the worst of each other in you.No one has ever given me a valid reason for forcing life upon someone unless you’re rich,healthy,living in a safe country with a loving family,it just doesn’t make sense.Your child will either be a victim,a horrible person or a passive person who forces themselves into a state of constant detachment which endures life within this system. When I criticize my mother for her behavior and she says, “What about you?” I tell her that she’s the one who forced this life on me and she replies, “I didn’t ask to be here either,” and I say “But I didn’t give birth to anyone,”and then she goes silent and tells me she hopes I have six children.crazy

Sadly, Antinatalism is right in every way, it might not sound good to the human ear because of the desire/biological imperative to reproduce but it's correct overall. I haven't heard a strong argument against it AT ALL

Totally agree.. old age is mostly bad. death is mostly not easy. marriages ate mostly unhappy. singlehood is not easy. eating animals is full of guilt. friendships are unreliable. siblings live their own lives.
