✨ Architecture Highlights This grand white mosque complex features elegant symmetrical design, with a magnificent central dome decorated with intricate turquoise-blue mosaic patterns, surrounded by smaller matching teal domes. Two slim white minarets rise beside the main prayer hall. The huge geometric marble courtyard stretches forward, lined neatly with rows of palm trees and a central fountain water channel. The clean white buildings, bright blue domes and lush tropical greenery create a harmonious, stately scene, with the cityscape of Alor Setar spreading out in the distance. 📜 Culture & History Masjid Al-Bukhary sits in Alor Setar, the capital of Kedah state in northern Malaysia. It was funded by the renowned Malaysian philanthropist Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Albukhary. The mosque blends classic Malay-Islamic architecture with modern construction. More than just a place of worship, it also serves as a centre for community and charitable activities, standing as the most iconic landmark of Alor Setar. 📸 Photography Tips Aerial drone shots work best to capture the full symmetrical layout of the courtyard and fountain axis. Shooting on a bright day with scattered clouds enhances the contrast of white walls and turquoise domes. Morning light avoids harsh midday glare. Visitors must wear modest attire when entering the mosque compound. #travel #alorsetar #kedah #malaysia #masjidalbukhary
