@intels5: Researchers analysing health records from 4.52 million South Korean adults with a smoking history found that former smokers who vaped daily had a 56% higher lung-cancer risk than those who quit without using e-cigarettes. Their risk of dying from lung cancer was about twice as high. The study, published in Nature Medicine, followed participants for roughly five years and found a similar pattern among people who had quit recently and those who had stopped longer ago. Because it was observational, the findings establish an association rather than proving vaping caused the cancers. Source: Nature Medicine.
