@theartcoach: Tap the link in my bio to start the drawing drills course. A complicated landscape gets much easier to draw when you stop seeing thousands of individual details and start looking for simple shapes. Mountains become triangles and wedges. Rocks become boxes. Fallen trees become cylinders. Roads and rivers become ribbons. Trees become larger masses before individual branches and leaves. Start by mapping out the biggest shapes in the scene. Turn them into simple 3D forms, establish their overlap and perspective, then gradually break them into smaller shapes. This is one of the most useful habits when learning how to draw landscapes. Simple shapes first. Large to small. Form before texture.
