@dailystates99: Missing Alabama Mom of Two Found D*ad in Woods a Mile Behind Her Home A week-long search for a missing 35-year-old mother of two has ended in tragedy in Chambers County, Alabama. Sarah Elizabeth Barninger was last seen on Sunday, October 11, leaving her residence on foot around 10:15 a.m. Home surveillance footage captured her walking away in grey pants, a black jacket, and white Crocs. When investigators searched her home, they discovered her purse, driver’s license, debit card, and credit cards had all been left behind. Her cell phone was also recovered at the residence, where officials noted it had been completely factory reset. Search teams, including first responders, volunteers, and K-9 units, spent days combing the surrounding area. Exactly one week after she vanished, a search team from Central Georgia K9 Search & Rescue located her d*ad b*dy around 12:30 p.m. in a wooded area about a mile behind her house. The property, owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, was not accessible by vehicle. The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office stated that Barninger appears to have d*ed from an apparent self-inflicted g*nsh*t wound. An autopsy will be performed by the Alabama Department of Forensic Science as the investigation remains ongoing.
