💔 THE SAD STORY OF 15-YEAR-OLD GHANAIAN BOY JAVITS FRIMPONG. Imagine travelling from Ghana to America with dreams of building a better future, only for your life to be cut short at just 15 years old. His name was Javits Frimpong, a 15-year-old Ghanaian boy who moved to New York in October 2025 to join his father, Thomas Frimpong. Javits was a student at DreamYard Preparatory School in the Bronx. According to his father, he was a quiet, intelligent young boy who had dreams of becoming a doctor. But sadly, on Thursday, October 29, 2026, something terrible happened. Javits was walking to school near East 171st Street and Crotona Place in the Bronx when he was shot. According to police, officers responded shortly before 9:30 a.m. and found the teenager with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he sadly died. But there is another heartbreaking part of this story. His father revealed that Javits had previously complained about being bullied at school. According to Thomas, the school principal had informed him that two students accused of bullying his son had been suspended for one week, just days before the shooting. His father believes the incident could be connected to the bullying, but police have not confirmed any connection. Reports also indicate that surveillance footage captured Javits running shortly before he collapsed. Police were searching for three teenage suspects believed to be between 16 and 18 years old. As of October 30, no arrests had been reported, and investigators had not established the motive. Meanwhile, Javits’ father is devastated. He had brought his son from Ghana hoping to give him a better future. Sadly, his mother is still in Ghana and has had to face the heartbreaking news of losing her son from thousands of miles away. Javits reportedly dreamed of becoming a doctor. Unfortunately, he will never get the opportunity to fulfil that dream. A 15-year-old boy. A son. A student. A future doctor. May his soul rest in peace. 🕊️💔 What do you think should be done to protect young students from bullying and violence?
