@chrystinelee: Like we appreciate it but that includes friends, family, (and Facebook babysitters that everyone seems to be using😂 ) #foryoupage #sahmlife #7weeksold #coveredbythebloodofjesus #postpartum

I would never second guess my daughter and son in laws rules and boundary’s. Our grandson is not our child. We don’t know what “better” for him. We are blessed to be able to hang out with him and watch him.

My child is turning 2. I can count on one hand how many times I have left her with anyone, and never has she gone a night without me. 😂

the only person i would ever feel comfortable leaving my baby with overnight is my mother because i trust her and she’s shown me she respects the boundaries i set around my child. i think respecting boundaries is huge anyone that disrespects them is not going to be alone with my baby.

Statistics show that most abuse happens at the hands of family and family friends. The way I see it, the only way to prevent my child from ever enduring that is to never leave her with anyone. The only people I trust aside from my husband are my mother and my mother in law, but even then I’m a helicopter parent. If that offends people, I don’t know what to tell them. I’d rather hurt someone’s feelings than someone hurt my child.

I would be so sad if my sister didn’t trust me with her kids. Like mom and dad can’t go out for dinner until the kid can fully communicate?

this generation has been convinced by social media that if they don't have ridiculous "boundaries" they aren't good parents

juls :
peoples reactions to parents having boundaries is so telling “then you’ll complain you have no village” . if you’re only willing to be there for a child when it’s on your terms, you were never part of the village in the first place. if you cannot compromise your wants for a parents needs, you’re not mature enough to be part of the child life

The vastest majority of neglect and abuse of all types happen in the home. 75-80%. And this number is said to be very underreported so it's most likely more like 90%. Maltreatment in day care centers is substantially lower than in a child's own home.

Unfortunately, when something happens, it’s too late, even if they can speak. so don’t leave him with anyone. People are weird unless your parents or somebody you would really trust.

Even when they communicate it should be NO. Because do you really want something to happen to him and would you feel better about it hearing your baby articulate something bad that happened? Children are no match for manipulative adults or children who are larger and stronger than them.

I’m so thankful I can trust my mil and mom to take care of my baby while I’m at work 😭 I could never send him to daycare. I feel for moms who don’t have trustworthy people in their lives. I can’t imagine

I did the same for my daughter, but I found that even later it was hard for me to leave her. Now that I’m a grandmother my daughter and son in law have the same rule and it’s been very difficult for me, but I do understand.
