@chloethorpaws: A gas station made room for customers who couldn’t pay—hungry street dogs. In October 2020, CargoGas in Torreón, Mexico, shared photographs of feeding stations where dogs could find dry food and water. The company announced plans to extend the initiative across its service stations. By October 25, local newspaper El Siglo de Torreón reported that more than 5,000 social media users had shared the photographs. People welcomed the gesture, with some suggesting shade to protect the food and water. CargoGas’s official website says its support began in 2020 and also includes a shelter providing rescued dogs with food, vaccinations, sterilization and opportunities for adoption. For a dog searching the streets, a bowl of food can mean one less hungry day. #StrayDogs #AnimalWelfare #CargoGas #Torreon #HelpingDogs
