I like Telepathy cause its so hard to write but when its written right it is so fucking cool. I love how in Gen V she has consequences for her actions . Cuase Mind control powers are require breaking consent and you cant write that complexity willy nilly . Its in WandaVision when she had a mental breakdown. Normally a regular person would just idk get depressed n stuff but with a depressed phycic witch with chais magic that depiction of grief (like girl had to kill her husband and saw his corpse mascarad after she bipped back to exsistence and she couldn't even bury him) that was AMAZING !!!!

It’s interesting because it’s a power in the grey area, but it’s inherently an unethical power. Unethical meaning it violates a code of ethics, which means it’s certainly not good, thus being bad. You can say it depends on how its being used, But you have to ask the question of when is getting into someones mind ever ethical. Yes you can do positive things with this power. But its a tricky because it deals with the mind and consent. This is why its one of my favorite powers! it’s tricky. It’s interesting when written well. But the power itself is unethical, that’s why you can have people that aren’t inherently evil like jean grey or the Martians slip up and make a unethical choices when using telepathy. The power itself is unethical and the person wielding it has the choice on what to do with it. Which makes it even more complex! unethical power but a good person? confusing and I love it.

I do want to expand this to the metaphor telepathy encompasses in Marvel as most telepaths and psychics are also an autism allegory as psychics are often masking knowledge, understanding, many layers of sensory understanding. Most telepaths are involuntary at first and they learn to silence or hush or ignore what they observe. Even Jean outting Bobby is bc she was unable to NOT perceive his thoughts and know what they meant while watching him-- when there was just 2 of them -- pretending to be an objectifying and womanizer
