The Quran never explicitly states that Jesus will return to Earth. In 5:117, Jesus speaks of Allah taking him, and in 19:33, he speaks of his death and resurrection, not a second coming.
Yet this belief is widely shared among Christians and Muslims. While Christians derive it from biblical teachings, Islamic traditions establish it primarily through Hadith, such as Sahih al-Bukhari 3448 and Sahih Muslim 2937.
If Jesus’ return were an essential part of God’s message, why does the Quran never announce it?
Could belief in his return be used to fuel war, suffering, and injustice under the promise of fulfilling divine prophecy?
Who truly benefits when humanity is taught to expect conflict rather than prevent it?
Who gains when suffering is accepted as God’s plan instead of questioned as human injustice?
And if the Quran identifies Satan as humanity’s clear enemy - 2:168, shouldn’t we question any interpretation that turns hatred, division, and bloodshed into something sacred?
Are we waiting for Jesus to return, or are we allowing others to use that expectation to shape the world we live in?
