@investedhq: Americans are paying $1,000 a month to drive cars they can barely afford 🚗 U.S. auto debt now sits near $1.7 trillion, and a record 1 in 5 new-car buyers are locked into payments of $1,000 or more per month. More than a quarter of new-car loans now stretch seven years or longer, up from about one in five a year ago. Borrowers aged 18 to 29 now post the highest serious delinquency rates of any age group. Meanwhile, the average car on U.S. roads is nearly 13 years old as drivers hold onto vehicles longer than ever. The car note has quietly become a second rent payment. And younger buyers are carrying the heaviest share of it. #AutoLoans #PersonalFinance #CarPayments #Economy #GenZ
They'll be paying for that car long after its even drivable...
That type of loan should be illegal

Thats not the economys fault. You are willingly paying that for a new car until its 20years old rather than buying the 20year old car and have no loan

How many other people went directly to the Calculator after seeing this crap? $50,000 car they finance 580 for 287 months that’s 166,460 all in that’s $110,460 in interest hopefully it’s a brand new car not a used one if we did some basic math of an average of 20,000 miles a year for roughly 24 years they would need to get roughly 480,000 miles out of this thing
