@politifact: At an Oct. 17 town hall in Michigan, a man asked Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, whether he disavowed the Muslim Brotherhood; clips of that exchange went viral, and his opponent Republican Mike Rogers said El-Sayed didn’t answer affirmatively. “He didn’t disavow it,” Rogers said during a CNN interview. “He goes on this word salad trying to get around the fact that he can’t do it.” At the event in Caro, a man who identified himself as “Tommy” asked El-Sayed whether he’d disavow the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist political movement in the Middle East. “Sure, yeah, absolutely,” El-Sayed said, before questioning the attendee about why he was asking the question. #abdulelsayed #mikerogers #michigan #muslimbrotherhood #factcheck
