Doubled down on a losing position out of desperation. I watched a trade go against me and instead of cutting it, I added more size hoping to make it back faster. 3. Scaled up trading frequency right after a big win. Turning $3,000 into $15,000 in 30 minutes made me feel invincible, so I went from a couple trades a week to multiple trades a day. That overconfidence is what led to the next mistake. 4. Set an arbitrary goal and forced trades to hit it. Once I decided I needed to double an account from $50,000 to $100,000 fast, I stopped following my own system and started chasing trades that weren't actually there. 5. During a strong bull run I got comfortable sizing too large on single positions, which only became a problem once the market eventually turned. 9. Chased a bigger number instead of locking in what I'd already made. Growing an account from $40,000 to $200,000 and not taking meaningful profit off the table along the way is a mistake I made more than once. 10. Stayed too long in LEAP positions during a volatile stretch.
