I’ve noticed something. When they don’t want to say “ yes I’m detaining you” it looks like they are being trained to say “ presently right now”. Which sounds like a yes. But legally isn’t.

Why is it so hard for police to understand that identifying someone is not part of determining if a crime has been committed. They always want ID first, like it’s going to help determine anything
