Same! I clocked Trump as a joke immediately and then all the people I trusted and respected started falling in line for him and it was such a shock that it jumpstarted my questioning

Absolutely. it happened to me too with the catholic church. Im more in line with James Talorico and loving your neighbors, welcoming the strangers and taking care of the least fortunate. Not the taking away womens rights and medical care.

THISS, I still remember when I visited my friend’s church back in 2016 and they all started a prayer for Trump to win the election. I was beyond shocked and I never looked at that friend the same after that day

metaphysical truth is so much bigger than american politics. dont let political implications cause you to ignore truth. politics should not form your presuppositions.

“Voting doesn’t matter”… how many millions and billions go to politicians ever year.. that’s how much it matters to them

I wouldn’t say I’m deconstructing myself, but the election of 🍊man really made me question evangelicals and Christians as a whole. I think this is a very unique American thing. Having grown up Christian outside of the US, I don’t carry a sense of nationalism like many of them do, even though I was born here. I think the saddest thing is that they are being used for the advancement of politicians and their donors. This system is CORRUPTED!

Seeing how people treated and talked about Obama during his administration is what spurred much of my deconstruction.

Also, ballot is sent! I'm in Idaho, so unfortunately a lot of people I voted for don't have a chance but I'm hoping prop 1 can pass!
