@artistomg: Turning a Coffee-Stained Sketch into a Realistic Flower! ☕🌸✨ Mixed Media in My Sketchbook! 😍 From a pencil sketch to a colorful flower, one layer at a time! ✍️💜 For this piece, I combined coffee stains, alcohol markers, and pencils to build up the colors, shadows, and details. The biggest challenge? Doing all of this on medium-weight sketchbook paper without damaging the page! 📖👀 Many of you have asked how I keep the paper from tearing when it gets wet. Here’s what I do: I gently blot away the excess coffee, then immediately use a hair dryer to dry the area I’m working on. Whenever I add more moisture, I pause and dry it again before continuing. I always wait until the paper is completely dry before drawing over it. Working gently and letting each layer dry helps me add details without rubbing or tearing the damp surface. It takes patience, and the paper can still wrinkle, but this is what works for me! ☕✨ Some of you have mentioned that my drawings aren’t completely realistic, and that’s intentional! 🎨✨ I love mixing realistic shading and depth with vibrant colors and a slightly stylized look. My goal isn’t to copy a flower exactly as it appears in nature, but to give it my own artistic touch! 🌸💜 That’s what I love about mixed media: combining different materials and seeing how each one brings something new to the drawing! 🎨🌸 #artistomg #flower #visualart #mixedmedia #artwork
