I don't shop there often, but I havent shown my receipt to a Walmart door person in probably 20 yrs. If you're gonna trust me to scan my own items w/o any training, then you can trust that I did a good job. I just say "no thank you" and wave my receipt as I walk past.

I work at a walmart, they always flag my own damn water bottle... They flagged my left overs because I set them down once.

EXACTLY! With how much money they have invested in the tech, licensing, etc & still having to pay people to watch them, they would've saved money sticking to human cashiers lol

Yeah my amazing incredible partner is banned from BOTH Walmarts in a 20 minute radius of us. They do not accept the people stopping them at the door after being followed through the store (they are a black which is surprising to no one in this story 🙄) and they are firm on the fact that some random Walmart employee doesn’t have the authority to hold them hostage there. They aren’t the police they cannot detain you like that. And it’s a really grey area I’m surprised there hasn’t been more issues that have come from this but they can have a bit of a temper when provoked and it’s insane how hard these ppl go when you KNOW they aren’t being paid enough to be doing all of that.
