I hate time travel movies. They are always a paradox. How would he know to kill himself if he didn’t have the motivation to do so without the actions of his future self? If he offs himself everyone disappears in a poof of logic.

naaah, predestination its better, Looper Is meh, It copied and carried a lot from predestination. this timetravel makes no sense because all time plays in the predestination circle but fails, by using some butterfly effect, so ITS neither one or the other.

There were so many problems with the timelines in this movie. Nice concept and everything, but it kept mixing up linear and nonlinear timelines throughout the story. As usual, whenever there's a movie (or book) about time travel there are a lot of gaps and paradoxes.

Except the entire thing makes zero sense if you think about it for two consecutive milliseconds. If young Joe died then old Joe never comes back and the story doesn’t happen. And if the story doesn’t happen then he wouldn’t take himself out.
