I was 9 yrs old at the time. But I didn't get a phone until a year later. My very first phone was a Hello Kitty Sony Ericsson, my mom got it for my Holy Communion gift. She felt that I was ready to have a phone & she felt bad after she forgot to pick me up from school. I was about to finish 4th grade, all the kids got picked up by their parents & I was alone in the courtyard for almost an hour. My mom was running errands with my grandma & my brother, she didn't get the phone call from the office until later on. She freaked out & she drove quickly as she could to pick me up from school. So, she thought that I should get a phone, I was already old enough to have one. Don't worry, it was only ONE TIME when she forgot to pick me up from school 😂
