I like to get the capri suns as well. They’re $10 for 40 pouches and the kids love them. They usually have them open before they leave the driveway.

We used to be the hot dog house. Set up grill at end of driveway & grill up some hot dogs & also a pot to boil for the kids who didn’t enjoy grilled. Grabbed some buns & a pack of condiments from Costco. We’d do about 250 a night. It was always cheaper than candy & everyone enjoyed it. We’d put a trash can out & our neighbor four doors down would also set out a trash can bc by the time they got there they’d be done eating it.

We did rice, Krispies and glow in the dark sticks. And maybe a little bit of extra stuff that I didn’t use for my daughter’s treat bags like dumb dumbs and some fruit snacks. Judge me if you will, but like I think that’s actually better than candy. That is usually subpar.

I did the exact same line up! Each kid gets one of each and it was still cheaper than giving out 3 pieces of candy per kid.

I bought a cotton candy machine. I am making fresh cotton candy and we have a popcorn machine. you can get a fresh bag of that also

im giving out water bottles that I covered in glow on the dark halloween stickers...HUGE HIT LAST YEAR....the kids need to hydrate more than the candy.

I grab a $5-$10 bag every week with my groceries starting in mid September to ease the blow a little. We only get about 75 trick or treaters though.
