At 19 my boyfriend cheated and broke my heart. My coworker/friend was listening to me cry about it the next day at work. We started dating a few weeks later. He knew my heart was broken. His was similarly scarred. We healed together. That was 21 years ago and we've been married 16 years next month. It hurts now but she's just getting out of the way so his real best friend can come into his life.

I got cheated on once in highschool and once in college (I really knew how to pick them 😂) just remind him that it has nothing to do with him and and everything to do with the cheater. He could not have done anything different or better. People who cheat have conflicted morals and it is not his fault! The right one will come along and he can take this as an example of a way that he never wants to make anyone else feel! Sending hugs!
